呼吸を演奏する中村ゆいのファーストソロカセット。「ただそこだけにいる」というパフォーマンスを行う武本拓也にも参加してもらっています。録音は12月の夕方〜夜にかけて、国立の某大学のグラウンドにて、そして1月の深夜に美学校の一室で行いました。
遠方と近辺からの音が混ざりあった塊の中から浮かび上がってくる中村ゆいの呼吸と武本拓也の気配を聴いているうちに心霊現象(あるいは別の何か)を目の当たりにしているかのような感覚に陥る。(2019年)

Breath performer Yui Nakamura’s first solo cassette. Takuya Takemoto, who practices a performance of “just being there” is also taking part.
The recording was done at an athletic ground on an evening in December 2018, and also at an art school classroom after midnight in January 2019.
While listening to Nakamura’s breath and Takemoto’s presence, you gradually come to feel as if you are witnessing a psychic phenomenon (or something else).

集音するという主体へ：意味と音が成立する条件

この作品はわたしにミニマルな幽体離脱と憑依を引き起こした。たとえば、音を聴くことはときに主体的身体の失念、忘我すら引き起こすとしたとき、この作品は、「忘我したついでに、集音する主体へ憑依してみよ。集音する主体＝お前は今どのように存在するのか？」と問いかけてくるのである。聞き取るという行為にある主／客体性の硬直の一切を突っぱねて、音の成立条件へと意識が向くよう駆り立てられる。しまいには、集音する主体へと憑依させられてしまう。
　人類学者のレヴィ=ストロースは、意味を「諸要素の結合を味わった時に意識が近くする特殊な風味、各要素が単独では与えることができないような風味」と述べた。この作品では、集音する主体と音をたてるということ、その世界との接触距離の羅列が意味と音を生む。車がわたしの隣を走り去るなら感じるはずのドップラー効果、子供の声、風の吹き抜けの具合による空間の把握、木の軋み、転がり。これらの要素(に対する操作)を味わった瞬間に、わたしのとなりに、作品がひょっこり立ち現れていた。
